News: The Real Lesbian Housewives?
Showtime is gearing up to do a real-life version of "The L Word." "The Real L Word: Los Angeles" will follow six honest-to-goodness lesbians leading their everyday lives, according to Variety. The series, from "L Word" creator Ilene Chaiken and reality production team Magical Elves ("Top Chef"), is said to be a girl-on-girl answer to Bravo's "Real Housewives" franchise.
Assuming the casting call works out, it's anticipated that the nine-episode season will debut sometime next year."Even though we concluded our sixth season of 'The L Word' on Showtime this past March, I believe we are not nearly finished telling our 'L Word' stories," Chaiken was quoted as saying."The Real L Word: Los Angeles" is the second time that creator Chaiken has attempted a spinoff from the original fictional series about a group of gay and heterosexual women living in LA."The Farm," which was slated to center around bubbly "L Word" character Alice Pieszecki (Leisha Hailey), didn't go further than the pilot stage. YAWN... NEXT... ;-)))
